Trying Something New

Last week, Marc and I were walking around downtown Leesburg and we went into a little antique shop to look around. I found an old, beat-up table for 20 bucks. For some reason, I looked past all the work that needed done and saw an awesome table. So, we bought it. Now, I just have to figure out how to restore an old wooden table (its all new to me). I am hoping I can get some 'pointers' from Marc's mom when they come to visit in Nov, that is if I don't try to work on it before they get here. I figure, if I mess something up, its only 20 bucks. I am excited to see if I can pull this off (it needs a lot of work). I am a little fearful that when I pull back some of the wood planks, bugs will crawl out (eewwww).

Here are some before pictures of my table.

You can do this...It's a great table.
Would make an awesome gift for someone once it's finished (hint-hint)

The table looks great the way it is. I would see about just getting it dipped!
